Convention
2009
Scots College, Wellington
3 to 8 January 2009
 |
Theme: INTUITION ON THE PATH: learning
to recognise and work with
it
Principal Featured Speaker: Rosanne
DeBats of
Adelaide. | Rosanne
DeBats
is a
registered
psychologist, and has
spent many
years in public
policy
research.
She
was
active in
the Women's
Electoral
Lobby in its
early days,
and has
built an
energy-efficient
house at
the Aldinga
Arts
Eco-Village.
Rosanne is
particularly
interested in
exploring
the
evolution of consciousness
and
teasing
out
what
its
implications
might be
for
us and the times in
which we
live. Much of her
work
involves
looking
for
connections and
commonalities
in
different
traditions and world
views,
furthering our
understanding
of both
the
richness
of
diversity
and the
oneness of
all.
She
combines
lucid insight and clarity
of
concept with a
delightful
personality.
Rosanne plans to
speak
on:
- Mind and Brain: the science and mystery of
consciousness.
- The
Evolution of
Consciousness:
receiving
(intuition)
and sending
(intention),
what
comes
after the
exhaustion of
Materialism.
- The
Four Ways of Knowing:
Scientific,
Philosophical, Faith
and
Intuitive.
(This one
